aad architects were appointed to develop the vacant Namsbury’s Engineering building together with Rutland House and Eurofab to deliver a mixed use development plan for the 0.2734hectare (2734.0sqm) site situated just off the A61 to the North of Sheffield City Centre.
The proposal delivers 228no. apartments ranging from 3 bed apartments, 2 bed apartments, 1 bed apartments and 1 bed studios. A selection of penthouses are also proposed with large external amenity areas. The ground floor provides commercial space and the basement car parking spaces and bicycle stores.
The proposal respects and enhances the heritage structures and streetscape
around it. The grade II* listed globe works and Grade II Listed Cornish Works
(Barnsley’s Works) are adjacent building which have unique character and will be
provided with a greatly improved environment.
